ACE seeks to be not only an industry leader, but a leader that is deeply principled. The tragic death of George Floyd was a reminder that structural racism is real, that it continues to be a problem in this country, and that action must be taken. Like many organizations in this moment, ACE is taking time to reflect and learn what role we may be able to play in contributing to much needed change.

As a first step to show-up and commit to our principles, ACE made gift to the Advancement Project to help move the conversation forward around structural racism. The Advancement Project contributes to substantive policies that address key issues, and you can read more about their work here

Our gift to support this issue was a first step, and what comes next will undoubtably be more difficult. ACE leadership is currently formulating a set of principles that will be put into action over the coming months and years. Our hope is that these principles demonstrate to ourselves and our stakeholder communities that ACE’s commitment to diversity and ending structural racism is substantive. ACE is eager to share these publicly as soon as they are ready.

We will be regularly sharing updates on this blog. Please check back frequently or email corpcomms@acefitness.org with any questions.
